Has anyone replaced the seat foam on the drivers seat?
Can it be replaced? supplier?
If NO, reasonable seat replacement recommendations? I'd like to keep the stock seat upholstery.

I would go to the salvage yard, get a better seat out of another Jeep, and swap your upholstery over to it.

You might luck out and get one the same color.

If your in a tight squeeze and can't get to or afford new seats, I swapped mine with the passenger side seat. Back seat lever is now next to center console but least I no longer have to sit on a broken seat and hold myself up by the steering wheel.

A good upholstery shop can cut foam that is very close to the original, I had it done to a car a couple of years ago that came out very well. The wife still drives it and show no problems to date.

Go get a cushion off a passenger seat. Take what you need.

Seriously super easy.

^^That is what I would suggest doing if you can't find a replacement seat at you local JY. Also they are fairly cheap to just get the foam.

The problem is that it's usually not just the foam, but the aluminum bucket is stress cracked:

Real Cherokee XJ's don't have "Buckets" for seat bottoms. LOL
