sealed power lifters

2000 XJ I6...I just bought a set of these and they are about 1/8 in. shorter than the OEMs, BUT if you place the pushrod in the cup of the new and OEM side by side, the pushrods are same height. Have any of you used these sealed power lifters? Have you noticed the same height difference in the lifters? Are they OK to use?

I dont know much about them but are you sure that you got the right ones?

It is possible to have shorter overall outside height and still be the same height inside. If its a hydraulic lifter.

If the old lifter, with the pushrod installed is the same height as the new lifter with the pushrod installed, you should be fine.

We used Sealed Power on all of our stock rebuilds at the Hot Rod shop, no issues.

With pushrod they have the same overall height. The height of the lifter though concerned me about getting adequate lubrication. if you set the new and OEM side by side, the oil holes on the side are even but the grooves dont match up. Heres a pic

Did you use them? Did everything work okay? I have some lifters that were listed as OE replacement on rockauto.com. They are DNJ engine components LIF1122 lifters. They're shorter than the stock ones and the grooves don't line up, just like these sealed power ones.

I got sealed powers in my 2000 with 94 head. No issues but valve float due to my cam and stock springs
