Doing some maintenance on my 98 Cherokee and started by using Seafoam to clean stuff out. I followed the generally accepted method of slowly adding through the brake booster hose. Per the can's instructions, I added 1/3 of a pint, then shut it off and waited 5-10 minutes before starting and going for an aggressive ride of between 5 and 10 miles. At no time did I see excessive smoke as typically mentioned. Is there something I am missing or is this normal sometimes? Also, I added the remainder of the can to the tank about half full and per cautions on this forum, did not add any to the oil. Thanks.

On my dads old truck i had put a couple of cans thru the booster line over a period of time and everytime i put a can the smoke scene got less and less. So my guess is your engine is pretty clean.

Note: i run a full can thru the booster line so i dont know if that makes a difference.
