Opinions? Worth the $8? Anyone suffered consequences from using it?

As you can probably tell from the lack of enthusiasm, most folks fail to see any benefits from using Sea Foam. If you use the search function at the top center of this forum you'll be graced with enough threads about Sea Foam to keep you entertained for years.

It is useful sometimes. A clean 4.0 has no use for it. Moisture build-up in your gas tank, minor (and only minor) crud buildup in injectors, carbon buildup in engine.... these are things it will help with if you use it correctly. It also helps clean sludge and other junk out of the crank case, but so does quality oil.

Seafoam is a priceless ally for owners of Suzuki G10's (3 cyl engine in Suzuki Swifts and Geo/Chevy Metros).

What are you trying to accomplish?

I'm not a fan of seafoam at all.

I used it on my 92 which was pretty high mileage and saw some minor improvements, but a tune up would have fixed most of the problems I had.

I have just the slightest little miss at idle. Did a full tune up (Napa gold cap and rotor champ plugs) Just getting opinions before pouring something in. Usually miracle fix alls dont fix anything. My rig only has 150k which i feel is pretty good for a '92. One of those things that end up in your cart when you spend to much time in Walmart.

Is the slight miss at idle sort of a little "peh" sound and not a full on miss? My 92 does that and I've been told it's pretty normal. I am going to replace the ignition coil soon maybe that will make it better but as long as my tach stays steady I'm not worrying about it.

Use BG44K to clean out the carbon and clean fuel injectors.

The old water in the cylinders trick also works well.

I once had an occasional miss, couldn't figure it out for the longest time. Finally pulled my plug wires and found that the #4 wire was arcing on plug. Replaced my plug wires and no more miss. Probably not your issue but something to check, even if they're new wires, make sure they're completely "clicked" onto the plugs.

I will check my plug wires this weekend. I replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and wires back in the summer so it's worth checking over again.

it is good for cleaning the butterfly valve front/back of the throttle intake ( use a t-shirt or shop towel clean; not paper anything that can rip and fall into the plenum) and it likely cleans the injectors a little but nothing Chem12 can't do....it is a glorified smoke bomb and is mainly the stuff itself burning that produces all the smoke. This is old info and plenty of threads about using it all over the place...
