Hey everyone, I'm guiding myself through the following video by @running.overland which has been MASSIVELY helpful for me.
At 1:13 he mentions the "top right" vacuum line starting in the engine side and he then shows something below the large air intake hose which I cannot find on my Jeep.
This line was previously looped around and fed right back to the Vacuum Harness.
I've rerouted many hoses that were just placed wrong and corrected all of them but this one has me stumped.
I believe the video is a 1988 and mine is a 1987 so whatever he is plugging it into in the video may just not exist on mine, in which case I'd like to plug it with a small screw or something similar.
Thanks in advance, y'all are awesome.

That one he mentions in your video at time stamp 1:13 goes to the EGR transducer. The EGR transducer is connected to the EGR This transducer allows the egr to operate only at specific exhaust back pressure levels. It is a black plastic disk shaped widget a couple inches in diameter and is connected to the egr valve. My 1990 Renix XJ has one.
It maybe helpful to show us some photos of your engine so we can see the hoses to confirm what you got. You should have a factory vacuum hose diagram sticker mounted on the fire wall, near the brake master cylinder.
image I post below shows the transducer attached to the egr valve.
Here is a good video that shows the egr and transducer on a Renix XJ

So before I took this apart, there was a vacuum line that just fed back into the Vacuum Harness and I think that's why.... I don't need to do emissions testing where I'm from so I'm thinking it should be fine to just make that line loop back to the harness as it was and forget about the transducer. What do you think?

The egr is a potential failure point, so if you dont need it, you can use a flat plate of steel with two holes to bolt it on the manifold in its place with gasket, then cap off the hoses. The egr diaphragm will eventually leak, then you got a vacuum leak, or worse still the egr valve seat can come loose so the valve will always be allowing a huge volume of exhaust into your intake. It you remove it, cap it all off then it cant cause trouble Just save it for if it is ever required in future, they are rare parts.

For the moment I'm going to put that vacuum hose on it and see what happens. I will order the cover plate next month and remove it.
I want to at least update all the vacuum harness because the CCV has been a nightmare for me currently.
Again, I really appreciate you!!
