running too cold?

running too cold?
i had engine heat creep...temp would get to 220 normal driving. i changed radiator and therostat (OEM mopar) but now wont get past 190? is ideal 210 or is the range 190-210 fine?

I had the same problem with my 01 XJ. I changed out the entire cooling system and used a 180 degree thermostat and I have not had any issues. Going on 2 months now and it never goes over 190

Most factory gauges are known for NOT being very accurate including Jeep. Where's 190 on the factory gauge? If u went with a 195 t-stat, coolant temp is probably 195-205 this time of year. Sounds like you're in good shape. If the needle points to the middle, maybe a little less, that's normal.
