running rough

my cherokee is running rough at idol, and when im accelerating. i just purchased it a week ago and before today it ran fine but now im afraid to even attempt to drive it anywhere. at idol it starts losing rpms and the jeep shakes for a few seconds then revs up and stops then repeats every min or so. when accelerating it feels like im not getting any fuel but as soon as i get ready to pull over and turn on the hazards it suddenly starts working again. i've changed the fuel filter, cap and rotor, plugs and wires. btw the jeep is a 93 cherokee country, 4.0L, manual.

I just bought mine a lil over a moth ago, and was having kind of the same issues, I had a lose ground, the one from the battery to the engine block was really lose, so i tightened and checked all other grounds and now my XJ runs smooth. Might wanna check that. Good Luck!!

with new vechicles all connection hoses and fluids should be visually checked as much as humanly possible
