My 2001 Jeep Cherokee seems to have acquired a backfire issue. My check engine light doesn't come on so it's not throwing any codes. The coil pack and injectors have already been replaced. What else could it be? Thanks in advance!

First off, I’m no expert.
1. Check your throttle body and clean it.
2. Even if your check engine light is not on, you should still check for codes.
is you backfiring coming through your tail pipe or through the throttle body?
if its through the engine/throttle body it may be a timing/spark issue if its coming through the exhaust, then its potentially a fuel/air issue, based on my experience.
Consider replacing your idle air control valve or at least clean it, while you’re at it.
Let us know how it goes.

the engine needs 3 things to go
1. fuel
2. spark
3. air
check oil pressure. it would help to run some diagnostics on your engine, try and find a mobile mechanic to come by and run some test while your engine is running.
I had a similar issue with blowback that ended up being a bad fuel pump/regulator. I dint have any codes relating to the fuel pump. The testing led us to the results of rich fuel, because the engine was running LEAN so the computer was telling the system to add MORE causing a RICH condition.
I'm not saying this is your answer, but a blowback can be caused from too much fuel not getting burned, and it can make the popping sound through your intake. If you are convinced your spark system is good to go I would look for vacuum leaks and check fuel pressure next.
