Right Hand Drive HELP!!!
I am a new member here! I have a 2000 Cherokee XJ factory right hand steering. I need to replace many parts of the steering linkage. Can someone point me to a supplier other than the dealer, they are QUITE pricey there. Local parts outlets have NO listing for the RHD models. This is my 3rd cherokee! Why did they EVER quit making this vehicle??

depending on what parts you need, and how much you're willing to pay for shipping, you might have better luck across the pond... either in England or Japan

I own 2 factory right hand drives. Almost every part that I have had to replace was the same as a left hand drive. Are you sure you need RHD parts? check autopartswarehouse.com

I'm with sydney. There are only a few RHD-specific parts. What parts, specifically, are you looking for?
I have a '96 RHD. The only part I can't find is an AC compressor that matches the old one.

Steering components
Right now I desperately need the LONG left side tie rod and Track bar, which are mirror images of the Left drive models. As well as the three short tie rod ends, which are the same as some typical jeeps. I would be interested in the steering conversion set up, such as the one Rustys offers, but they could not duplicate it for RHD. I am a rural mail carrier driving 100 miles daily of near "OFFROAD" type rural roads.

Not exactly sure what you need...but if you want a conversion kit,
decondualcontrols.com
postalthings.com
They are really expensive though.

conversion
Sorry to confuse the thread! By conversion I meant some of the offroad shops offer a tie rod conversion kit that simplifies the stock steering system of the XJ's. My Jeep is a factory built RHD vehicle. Just trying to find a economical- such as O'Reilly or Auto Zone type source for quality replacement parts, rather than purchasing from a Jeep dealer.

I haven't had to go the special order route yet.
Generally, I've had luck with getting the part number and searching that way.
Like I said, not too many parts are RHD-specific, but for the ones that are, that method works faurly well.

If you're really stuck and need some help getting stuff from UK I can help
A contact in USA would be invaluable for me as getting upgrades over here is an absolute pain in the butt (and majorly expensive) so we could do each other a favour.

I would try giving this place a call http://www.discountjeepparts.com/ind...4262_3121_3125
Also you might wanna call the dealer & get the part number like previously stated, that way you don't get the wrong part!

tracking them down outside of the dealer will probably be difficult. i don't know how expensive or difficult, but Iron Rock offroad sells a over the knuckle steering kit.
380$, but repalces everything... just an idea.
