Question Revolver Shackles..

I been looking at these for awhile and wanna hear some feed back from other XJ owners that are using them.
The guys I go on wheeling trips with but have no experience with these say they will not give anymore than 1 inch flex and the will just bind up when they collapse.

True? or

I'm also not afraid to do any fabbing to make them work.

My buddy runs revolvers on front of monster build YJ, incredible flex, it's an offroad targetted build, sorry no experience on XJ application, I'll ask Terry next week as he once had beauitiful performing TrailRig XJ

You know this would be good because my shackles do hit inside the factory box pretty much limiting some travel.
So could I use these with the revolvers and I wouldint be raising the rear anymore than it is and I can ditch the extended shackles I'm running right now
