Rev Limit take off??

I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee Country, and was wondering by any chance if there is a way to take off the rev limit. Everytime I go offroading and drive with the 4x4 Low on and step on it, in each gear sort of limits the engine to go more and then changes gear. I've seen and heard many other cherokees that do not do that, which made me realize that by taking that off, and gives more power. Any suggestions?

since the jeep is all done making power by ~4500rpm, there is no point IMO.
additionally, running it at high rmp in lo-range is not a good idea... your t-case is spinning 2.72 times faster in lo tan in high... so at 4000rpm, the t-case in low is spinning as if it were doing 10880 rpm... if you are banging it off the limiter (5250rpm) then your gear set is spinning at an insane 14280rpm.
if you need to be going up thru the gears that hard, shift out of lo-range

rev limit

wow never thought about that.. but although i've seen many other jeeps that do not have that and seem to carry alittle more power.. i might be wrong but thats how it seems.. and you might have understood me wrong.. its not i actually want to the rev limit off its just that when it reaches (4800 rpm) in each gear in the low range it starts jumping like if there was somekind of a protector to limit the engine going anymore or i dont know how it might be called and then it switches gear.. and other jeeps lower from '94 do not do that.. hope i explained myself better.. hehe..

it switches gear because your tranny has a governor that when it hits the peak rpm it will shift so that you dont throw gears out side the housing. haha are you sure that they dont have a manual tranny?? BTW you need the gov. cause it is what makes your tranny shift. they must have shift kits, and mods
