Replacing Steering Gear Box Should I Do The Pump Also?

I have a 1991 4WD XJ SE with 245,000+ miles and my steering gear box is leaking. I am going to get a re-manufactured box from NAPA tomorrow and I am wondering if I should replace the steering pump and the hoses while I am at it. The pump is original and since everything will be apart & drained should I just go ahead and replace it too. Also is there anything I should be mindful of when I replace the steering box, I have a factory service manual to follow.

Thanks for any help!

If the pump is working properly, not noisy, not leaking, there is no reason to replace it unless you want to. Given the quality of some of the rebuilds out there, you may be as well off with a properly functioning OEM unit.
Hoses, if original, are worth doing, especially if the rubber shows signs of cracking or deterioration. I'd change them since you have the system apart. Rubber only lasts so long no matter what you do.
Nothing special about swapping the gearbox, it should come already set up. You will want to bleed air from the system when you are finished- it'll be in the FSM.
