Replacing right front hub bearing assembly
 

Ok ive heard so many diff stuff. I need to replace my bearing and hib assembly... This is all one peice right? Take wheel off, rotor and brakes off. Three bolts and the hib comes off . Replace it bolt it back up and done? R the bearings all together in it . Ive heard u cant just do the bearings. Just making sure imma do it right. Never done one before?????

yeah you are correct, it comes as one piece called the hub assembly. 2 13mm bolts for the caliper, the 36mm axle nut, 3 13mm bolts holding the hub assembly on. a bfh and a big screwdriver/chisel will usually get the old hub assembly out, but if not there is a trick where you use an extension between the hub and something else then turn the steering wheel carefully to push the hub out. i suggest using anti seize on all the bolts you put back in, and consider doing your ujoint while you have it pulled apart.

It's really easy to do. Take off all the break stuff and remove the axel nut I'm not sure how many bolts hold on the back haven't done mine yet. use a slide hammer to remove the hub... If you don't have a slide hammer try whacking the crap out of it with a sledge! My boss got me to do it on a bet one day!

You have it except for the 36mm hub bolt. The hub assemblies are one piece with bearings inside. You replace the whole unit.

Make sure you clean everything up to the splines on the axel shaft and all around the inside where the big round part slides in.. Wd 40 or parts cleaner works great and then grease it all up when you go to put it back togeather

Use anti cease compound on the bolts.. Some people may say it's not be nessary but I plan on keeping my jeep a long time so anything I take apart I use it

Yea im spending pretty penny on this stuff. Wen I rotated my tires, soo. As front tire left ground it dropped and slanted outward . Its bery lose moving it up and down side to side is fine tho . But still gettin it aligned afterwards

You only need to do the alignment if you do your tie rod ends .. Or suspension that's the only time the shop I work at sends them for an alignment or if it's off before you do that stuff... I'm not a mechanic just been apprenticing every Saturday for the past 3 years.. Could be other things I don't know about but the hubs I wouldn't worry about
