replacing power window motor?
i have an 87 wagoneer ltd. for some reason the wires that go to the driver side power window are cut right where they come out of the motor. it looks like they were ripped out. I found the connector in the glovebox, plugged it in and jammed the wires in so that they were touching to verify that it works and it does, however i have no way to connect them because there is no exposed wire. the whole motor is riveted in and i don't want to **** up the door taking it out. how should i go about it?

I have drilled the rivets out and replaced with another motor from jy,I used small nuts and bolts to reattach. I have also just replaced the door,if I could find the same color. Doors are almost as cheap as the motor from the jy

If you can find a plug out of another door, You can plice it into the wires & your good to go.
If not, you might be able to rebuild the plug. If you can get on of the terminals out of the plastic plug, take it to Radio shack. They have terminals to repair/rebuild/make a plug. Not sure if they will have yours but it's a cheap fix if it works.
Strip the wires, crimp them onto the terminals, push them into the plug, put a touch of silicone in each terminal hole (sometimes the ears that hold the terminals in the plug get broken when getting the old ones out), let it dry & plug it in.

okay i'll probably end up drilling the rivets and trying to attach wires to the motor somehow or just replacing it. the motor works fine but it's supposed to have wires coming out of it to a female connector that have been ripped out, so its not the actual connector that's the problem. thanks for the help guys
