Renix misfire

I just recently installed a full gauge set, and last night after swapping the cooling temp sender when I start it it runs rough/misfires. While I was installing the sender, the piece for the PCV came out and I put it back in. Could this be why it is misfiring? I tried to kind of seal it when I put it back in. There is a hissing sound. I didnt do anything with the injectors, but I checked to make sure they were properly seated. I know there are some renix guru's here, help me please.

Where is the hissing sound coming from?? If it's the intake manifold than you have a vacuum leak, and that will cause problems with the way it runs.

it just sounds like you have a vacuum leak

Yes it sounds like that is where its coming from and that there is a leak but WHERE exactly. That's why I asked, would the PCV grommet/tube at the back of the valve cover be the culprit? The sender unit is not leaking at all.

It appears as if the POS small tube for the MAP sensors, if I'm not mistaken, is busted. I am looking at the FSM vac diagram. And want to make sure this is correct. It runs from the TB to a little bracket on the firewall with a green connector?

disconnect the green connector from the map sensor and count to 10 and that should reset the sensor, do that once you have fixed the vacuum line.:thumbsup:
