removing your trim the ez way!!!
I recently started a thread asking what should i do about my trim being faded. I recieved tons of helpful advise i then added all of the opions together to make my own. The ez way!!!
1. Pull your trim off( be sure to pull it quickly like a band aid so that most of the glue stays on the trim)
2. Steal your wifes hair dryer.
3. Wash the glue with warm soapy water.
4. Use the hair dryer to heat up the glue and just start rubing it off with your thumb. BE PREPARED FOR HUGE BLISTERS!!!!!
Do it this way and its cheap and you dont have to use any chemicals!!

you could also use a gasket scraper with some masking tape over the tip to get rid of any extra sticky gunk left when using the hair dryer. or have some leather welding gloves to resist heat. hand blisters suck, and i think most of us on the site know about that, lol.

I pretty much did the same thing, but used some Goof-Off to help aid with the removal of the glue. Still missing skin on my thumb, though. I used a heat gun, which also helped pain my finger. There's a little left, but I'm just gonna sand the paint off and bedline the rockers.

I used razors and all sorts of tools and just bedlined the rockers and lower panels. No need to worry about blisters or major rust issues in the near future .

x2 on the Eraser Wheels or pinstripe removal wheels. Used on your drill or air tool makes the job take a few minutes. Paint safe! Just keep em' moving.

^very nice
something that actually drives me nuts on mine is that the black area on the lower portion of the panels is not paint, but a giant sticker. i can pull the plastic rub/bump/door guards off, but underneath them has holes and makes it look like horse-pucky. i pretty much figure when i get to the point that i replace my rusted out rockers is to get all that crap off both sides and do the bed liner to it. might actually make a good summer project for me, since i have some other spots that need to be patched up as well.
