e-brake button froze. How to fix?
Hey Guys,
The button to unlock the ebrake when engaged is frozen in the pressed in position. I cannot pull it or press it. The ebrake still works sliding up and down but will not lock into place.
Is there a simple fix for this or is this something i have to bring to Jeep or mechanic???
thanks!

My old man taught me to wrench and if there is one thing i learned from him it's this...
if you can't fix it with a hammer it's an electrical problem

seriously though it just a plunger that pushes a rod which in turn pushs a tab out of a preset series of grooves. (thats why it makes the clicking noise when you pull it up, it's hitting those grooves) the rod doesn't sound like it's pushing the tab properly, i don't know how to disassemble it. sorry.
Anyone?
