removing front axles on rwd jeep cher sport
So I need to replace all my ball joints. I have been watching you tube videos
And reading as much as I can. MIdas wants to charge 550 for parts and labor and napa wants to charge me 1k. Im doing this myself. So after I remove the calipers, tierod, the axle nut and the 3 star bolts on the back side do the shafts just slide out of the steering knuckle? The videos I have been watching are either for 4wd or everything has already been removed and it just shows you how to remove/replace ball joints.

The axles just slide out through the hole in the knuckle. If your XJ is a 2wd it won't have axles to pull out. You would just pull the knuckles off and not worry about removing the bearing.
