The one thing that I noticed is there are not a whole lot of mentioning of how the passenger side pins are opposite. You still cut bottom of the hinge but the pin will come out threw the bottom. I used the same pins and for easy removal I just cut into each side of the hinge piece that I cut off and knocked off the metal from around the pin. Then hammered the pin into the top of the hinge that needs it. On mine the top front passenger and both back passenger hinges were this way. I also relocated my speakers. On my Drivers door I relocated the switch so I wouldn't have to worry with all of the wires (this takes electrical confidence).

There is no way I would want to take my doors off it it wasent for cut hinges. It absolutely sucks to remove the torx bolts from the doors while the doors are on the jeep. Drivers side isn't so bad the the passenger side is tough. I had to loosen the back bolts threw the fender well.

Also Cutting one of the pins shorter (1/2 inch or so) than the other will help with putting them back on so you wont have to hit bot pins in the holes at the same time.

When people say the doors sag, what does this mean? Do you have to lift the doors a little to close them? Or will they close just fine? Thanks

Yeah most of the time its a problem at the hinge mount on the body where the welds that hold it have broken causing the door to be out of alignment and it will sag a little and not seal up right... happened to my driver door when it got slammed open when i parked crooked and now when i close it the door actually move upwards a little when i close it. Mine leaks but not because of this... I think its a leak in the rain gutter area...

So... If I cut them off and they sag every time I have to close them I will have to lift up on them to get them to line up? Not a problem for me but maybe my passengers. Hahah

I dont have to lift up on mine cause the droop is pretty minimal... But like i said normally this is because the hinge welds are broken... if not your in the clear

mine are cut (in fact that write up posted is mine) and i have suffered 0 ill effects from it over 4 years+ now. if u didnt look to see, youd have no idea they were cut or anything was altered the way the doors operate.

i can remove all 4 doors as fast as i can walk around the jeep and pick them up

Great right up.
hopefully this will work on my 98 XJ

I attempted to remove the torx bolts when I did the left side rockers last weeked... and busted the torx socket..

I did the rocker working around the door.... which was a pain in the azz.

I also need to fix the door bottoms... having them off would be a huge help.
