Exclamation Removing door Lock Cylinder

I just bought this jeep and both door lock cylinders are broke. I bought two new ones to replace them. I can not get the rear of the cylinder off the linkage. the new locks are different than the one that came out. So, A) how do i get it off the linkage and B) will this new cylinder work? first pic is the cylinder that came out, the second the one that i got from the parts store.

They look different to me. The one on the left is GM older xj 84 -91(approx.), the other from 92-98(approx.) chrysler style. I may be off a year or so

I just pulled one of mine out because someone tried to punch in both doors. There isn't a groove for the e-clip and it is a smaller diameter if you try to put the lock cylinder in the door. I got mine at Autozone DL48150 need to find the dam receipt to take it back. I did find this video so I'm going to buy the cover and flapper door and will be set. If you need to replace might have to spent $50 at teamcherokee.com

The one on the left is the one from teamcherokee.com, The one on the right is the same as the autozone. Does yours look like the one on the left?

My 89 uses the one on the left single cut key, the Autozone cylinder looks like the right one, double cut key with the circular spring on the back.
