Removing batt. cable off of the solenoid

Removing batt. cable off of the solenoid
I am having a really hard time removing the cable off of the solenoid. It will spin 180 degrees but won't come off of the post. And of course the manual wasn't helpful at all. Any tips or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

there isnt a nut. the cable is "sealed" and is almost like it just gets pushed onto the post, it freely spins but i cannot get it to come off
