Remove the heat blower
I know this is a small question but since I have never done it. I would like to know Do you have to take it from under the dash or out from under under the hood.

OP I would suggest you conduct a search for heater or blower because I believe this has been covered. I also recommend that you list your vehicle info (model, year, etc) when solliciting information as well.
Good luck in your search

The blower motor is accessed from under the hood, it's on the passenger side, right up against the firewall. There will be a little rubber drip tube, the wiring connector and three bolts that hold it in. I believe those bolts were 8mm (assuming I remember correctly).

These are some pictures off of my phone.
I had to remove the washer bottle in my 96xj to gain access.
The other picture is what you can expect to see. Other than that everything else is self explanatory.
And just a heads up if your set up is like mine it is not bolted in with the fuse box, it merely slides off that bolt. You will understand when you get down there.
