Default Removal of mechanical fan

Maybe I'm retarded but I can't seem to get the fan off my xj. Took the 4 nuts off and I think it's kinda stuck on the little shaft the sticks out past the pulley. Anybody know of a trick to separating the fan from the pulley without damaging the radiator? I'm removing the radiator eventually anyway so maybe I should wait if it's just going to be stubborn. Thanks for any help

I tried for a minute to separate the fan and pulley with a chisel but it was before work and ran out of time. I guess there is no easy way. I'll just have to keep at it til it comes off. I'm running at normal temps for now anyway just wanted the mech fan for reassurance. And I threw the electric back on real quick but that only kicks on at like 218 degrees or something
