Default Relay/Temp Control for Stock Fan (2000 Cherokee); Power Dist Fuse

I do not like how the Stock Electric Fan operates on my 2000 Cherokee. I purchased a relayed Hayden 3647 Temperature control to install so that the fan will come on at the temp I set. The question I have is can I just tap into the existing fan wire for the relay power into the fan? My concern is backfeeding power when the relay sends power to the fan. This may be a silly question but I ask since on my Yamaha Rhino I could tap into the existing fan power wire with no issue -- that allowed the fan to operate as normal or by the relay.

Also -- anyone have a fuse listing for the Power Dist Box under the hood?
