Default Reinserting the front axle --- spins freely...

Should I feel the axle spin freely with no resistance when I reinsert it into the shaft? I placed axle back into the shaft and I would assume that it should "reseat" into the gears when it is all of the way in. Mine spins freely even after I feel it is inserted all of the way in. Pic just for reference of area I am working on.

Is the other side in yet? You probably wont feel any resistance until both sides are in?

When you jack it up you can spin the tire, right?

You'll only feel the resistance of the spider gears if the other axle isn't in which is very little. If the left side is fully assembled spinning that axle would have resistance and either the driveshaft or the tire would have to spin, assuming that's not a disconnect type axle. I've never looked at how the disconnect type work but I think it would be free-spinning 'till the vacuum system is activated.

Default All good

Both of the wheels are moving with the drive shaft, so we are all good. Thanks as always for the advice.
