If you do it yourself $700-1500,depends on what ratio you go with and if you will need new carriers, master install kit,and the proper tools.
If you have not done this before I would suggest a good manual and some help from someone that has done this before.,it is easy to do but if the pattern is not just right you can destroy them in no time.

I mentioned in your other thread about horsepower, get 4.56 and don't look back. You hear people complain about not enough torque, but never too much. I have a 1990 with 33"s and 3.07, my accceleration is worse than yours (less HP and bigger tires) and I plan on 4.88.

Since you are already on 32's I would recommend 4.56's at a minimum. If you had 31's or lower and werent going any taller. I would say 4.10s would work. But 4.56's will defintly give you more oomph. IF you can find a 4 cyl 4wd XJ and swap axles they will be at least 4.10 ratio would probably be cheap.

I think there's a little difference there though between the final drive ratio on the auto and manual transmissions. I could be wrong about this but looking at this gear calculator it seems that 4.10's on a manual would be almost the same as 4.56's on an automatic. Am I way off track here?

We are nowhere near you so this doesn't help, but we do gear installs for 175.00-200.00 per axle plus parts. That is if just the axles are brought to us.
