Recovery points?
Hey all,
I need to install some front recovery points on my 2000 cherokee and from what i understand, there is no easy way to do this correct? Meaning, you need a special mouning plate/bracket to mouth the hooks? I dont want to go and drop the $$$ on a front hitch because honestly, i dont wheel enough to need that. Any suggestions how to home brew the mount? I dont have access to a welder...

Do not waste your money or possibly destroy your rig with home brewed crap by skimping on your recovery points. This is one thing you need to spend the cash on and buy the appropriate brackets and tow hooks. Now saying that, the only cheap way I know to get around this is to go to a junk yard and see if you can find an XJ that came with factory tow hooks and get the brackets and hooks off of that rig and transplant them to your rig. Good Luck!!

yup, get the factory front brackets and a hitch for the rear. cheapest proper way to do this.
then once you get a built front bumper with d-rings, you can easily sell the brackets to someone else.
