Reconnecting wires: bypass dangerous?

I've searched but I've come up with nothing so far. My question is with the window bypass that I've done, illustrated in the first picture, will reconnecting the broken wires in my door make the bypass dangerous? (second pic)

I dunno strip them and touch them together. Sparks or smoke bad lol.

If nothing then do a lite tape.

Operate everything and if still nothing then i would assume you are good.

I have no clue what second picture is of beside a cluster of wirea with one cut.

The circuit will be shorted out because of the paper clip. I see no reason why it would be dangerous, but if you're going to repair the wire in the door, why not just pull the paper clip back out?

I've done the same "fix", and honestly I'd rather just keep the paper clip.

The paper clip is to bypass the master window lockout switch, no? If so, it's effect is no different than leaving the switch in the "unlock" position.
I agree with the previous poster to try reconnecting the wire while watching carefully for anything unusual.

First off- thanks for the responses! Second- I do need to clarify a couple things: The paper clip was short lived as it was an unreliable means of connection. I spliced in a short piece of wire like a year ago instead and no probs. But the last time I was stumbling around CF the suggestion to check the wires in the rubber sleeve in between door and body (the second pic) seemed like a good idea.
Long story short: found 2 broken wires. Cut the jump wire (paper clip fix). Soldered two broken wires I found. Started it up and no windows worked. Shut it off. Reconnected jump wire. Windows worked. Walked away happy I had at least spaced out the door check arm pin so now theres no gunshot noise when I open door.

This worked while door pin was out.. Haha..
