Rear Windshield Not Spraying
Hello, I am trying to track down why my rear windshield wiper will not spray fluid out of it. It's a 2000 Cherokee Sport, and the front windshield wiper works fine and sprays well, and the rear one will move fine, just not spray. Any ideas?
Thanks! |
Do you hear the pump running when you try to use the rear washer? It's likely the pump is bad but it could be the switch, wiring, or a clog or leak.

two pumps, back bad?. in tank hidden under driver front fender, pull inner liner, much fun!!
replace both, cheap, wont do it again... |
rear pump is top one
|
Ok perfect thanks! I do believe it is the pump, so that will be done when I get back home! If anyone else is looking for a good video, Bleepin Jeep has a good one which explains how to take care of it!

After checking the pump, check the wiring:
I've had to repair almost every wire in that bundle in the last 2 years. Completely replacing the harness is on my neverending to-do list |
Gosh I hope it isn't the wiring, that's one thing I really need to work on. I am completely lost when it comes to wiring, but I know eventually I will need to get better at it unless I want to pay a shop to wire in lights

My 1999 GC had a split in the rubber hose going to the back. Not enough pressure to make it to the back-glass.
