Default Rear Springs.

Went looking for a stock set of springs for the rear end of My 90 today. Auto wreckers found me a set of springs but they were as bad as what i have in already. One of the option i found out about was re-arcing the old springs. I guess they bend them to the original position and run electricity through them and add a helper spring. Anyone ever do this and is it effective.

to correctly re-arch a spring is a rather long process most places will just press the spring to get the arch and that won't last very long because the steel needs to go through several steps to erase it's"memory"...never heard of the electricity thing...

There are several aftermarket suppliers that have "stock" leaf springs available.

Quadratech
and
4WDH
Are two that pop to mind right away.

WILL there be a lift in the future for your XJ??
If there IS, maybe now is a good time to start thinking about it while youre shopping for springs.

This is some great pricing but by the time i pay the shipping to Canada and deal with customs i suspect the prices will be in the mid to high 200 dollar mark if not more each. We ordered there 10 dollar cup holder awhile ago and by the time i got it, it was almost 50 dollars. Though i know my first born has been annoying lately, do you think they would take him in trade.

You can add an s-10 leaf or two to your pack to get the arch back. It's a very popular mod. Xj'ers mix s-10 and cherokee leaf springs to achieve a certain amount of lift.
