Rear Shackle/Shackle Relocation Kit Bracket Width
Just purchased a rear shackle relocation kit. The inside width on the bracket (that accepts the shackle bushing) is 2.8 inches (measured with calipers). The bushing width on the Core4x4 shackle is 2.93 inches.
I can spread the bracket. But I’m not sure that is a good idea.
The bracket is made of 5/16” steel. Pretty damn beefy.
Or would that be OK?
I’m an IT guy, not a mechanic 🤣

I just went through the same thing. You are not going to spread the bracket. What I did whether right or wrong is file down the bushing sleeve a tiny bit, i then used a c clamp and with a little force I got in there. Just be careful not to rip the rubber. Use grease. Good luck.
