rear shackle box trouble
sorry if this is in the wrong spot feel free to move it. i have owned my 2000 xj for a little over a year now, while i was under it today i noticed my rear shackle box on the passenger side was'nt connected to to rear support or to the sub frame rail. i have been trying to do everything myself because i am short on money and enjoy working on my own rig. how can i fix this? i was thinking of boxing in the back side with a new piece of metal, what do you guys think?

it is the fact that those leaf springs are meant to be run with lift shackles, so the fact that over time you have have used the stock shackles it has pushed out the back.
1) get the proper lift shackles
2) weld in new steel and brace is really well.
