rear main gasket leak

So I have had a rear main gasket leak for a while now and I've had enough of it and wanna fix it asap. But I've got a big problem.... How do you access it, I've done some research and it looks like you have to take out the tranny or engine (this wasn't on a jeep though). I don't have the tools or know how to do this. But anywho I would really love it if someone would reply with a detailed way of how to do it.

If you have to remove engine or tranny don't bother writing

Look at this link

I thought mine was leaking and I changed it out and I still had a 4 inch spot on the ground after. You might want to check your valve cover gasket as mine was leaking. I put the rubber felpro Permadry Plus (HD) on and I am leak free except for the oil filter adapter.

My question is... Are you SURE it's your rear main seal that is leaking? Because I was 100% sure mine was leaking too but it turned out it was actually the gasket behind my oil filter adapter. They oil would leak out..slide down the side of the black block and run along a little hidden ledge and then into the gap between the engine and transmission and work it's way down to come out the lowest point which happened to be in the exact spot a rear main seal would also be leaking out of.

Just remove the oil pan.
