rear main gasket leak
So I have had a rear main gasket leak for a while now and I've had enough of it and wanna fix it asap. But I've got a big problem.... How do you access it, I've done some research and it looks like you have to take out the tranny or engine (this wasn't on a jeep though). I don't have the tools or know how to do this. But anywho I would really love it if someone would reply with a detailed way of how to do it.
If you have to remove engine or tranny don't bother writing |
Look at this link
http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoRearMain.htm I thought mine was leaking and I changed it out and I still had a 4 inch spot on the ground after. You might want to check your valve cover gasket as mine was leaking. I put the rubber felpro Permadry Plus (HD) on and I am leak free except for the oil filter adapter. |
