rear leaf spring recommendations for slight lift
looking at replacing rear leaf springs on my 97XJ Sport. i've been looking at dorman's but am open to suggestions. i'd love to get an 1"-1.5" lift after settling if possible. anyone have any suggestions/recommendations with links? thanks

I used the Dorman set to replace my original leafs on a 99 and got right at and inch and a half lift out of it.

I just ordered the Rancho RS44148 leaf springs. Very little out there about them but all info is positive. They are rated for 1.5". Mine are being installed today so I should know more later.

Sweet! what size tires? |
Thanks guys!
Those are 30x9.5x15. If I could do it all over I would have went with 10.5 instead of 9.5. I have the JKS ACOS system on the front. Will probably end up leveling it off when I get the time. |

The Doorman right here.
I also used the stock shackle and bolt from that page. http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/j...le.com+URL+%2F |
That looks about perfect to me. Mine is bone stock. New leafs that add some height sounds like a good alternative to adding a lift to me.

have any recommendations for front shocks and springs if i went with these dormans?
|
These can be gotten at Rock Auto but more info plus reviews here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...cm_cr_asin_lnk As far as shocks I plan on using BPE's (bar pin eliminators)on my existing ones. http://www.rocky-road.com/xjbarpin.html |
should i ignore that it says "this does not fit your 1997 jeep cherokee" at the top? ha
|
will stock shocks be ok or will i need something different with these springs?
