Rear End Help for an FNG
Yes, I'm a Frick'n New Guy and this is my 1st post. I've been snooping around for a couple months learning what I can from what's already posted since I picked up an '01 4x4 with ~200K on the clock. I’m not new to forums, just to this site.
Need help sourcing and issue; I haven't started tearing things apart yet but thought someone might help me narrow it down.
I have a rhythmic grinding/scraping sound coming from the rear. I know/assume it’s the brakes, the axle/wheel bearings, or the pinion bearing. I have no vibrations, no other sounds, and no lack of brake feel. The sound is present at all speeds and directions.
Any ideas on what most likely is the issue?
