hello all; i have a 95 cherokee sport 4x4. rear end is making lots of noise and was wondering if a 89 model rear end is compatable. pls . help

long answer yes lol find out what axles they are 1st but yea they are bolt in.

Before you go through all the trouble with the swap - I'd double check the noise problem. It could be something as simple as an out of balance drum. Axle swap is easy but could be a pain as well - specially trying to bleed the lines again.

Any year XJ axle will bolt into any year XJ.
