rear end clunks over small bumps
hey i have an 89 xj with a 6 3/4 rustys lift, a ford 8.8 rear end and no sway bar, a no slip yoke and new everything, bushing u joints etc etc. even over small bumps im getting a clunk definitely from the rear but i cant find anything loose or wrong. sound like suspension bottoming out. the only thing i can think of it being is my leaf bushings look a little twisted, could this cause a clunk? if so how do i fix it. jack the rear end loosen the bolts drop it and retighten?? if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks guys

Check the upper shock mount bolts. I broke one on my wifes 01 and said to hell with it since she hardly drives it. I figure I'll get around to replacing them soon enough. Since the passenger side shock only has one bolt at the top it rattles and makes a nice clunk whenever it goes over a bump.
