rear end ?

Default rear end ?

can you take a abs sensor ring off a rear axle shaft and put on a axle shaft that didn't have abs on it i have abs dana 35 with bad axle shaft pitted where the outer bearing rides on the axle shaft so it has a roaring noise found a whole axle that is not abs just wondering about swapping axles any help thanks

You can put them on aftermarket axles but prob would be a PITA. You would prob be better off finding an ABS shaft or live with the light on in the dash.

daily driver? if its not then you could use the non abs and not have any troubles. i ripped the cable off mine (accident) and still have not had any troubles other than the light. no biggy

tried this today but abs shaft into a non abs. the abs shaft was to long for my jeep so to me the non abs will be to short for u to even use. it was more than 1/2 sticking out of the hub area. edit im a dumbA!@ this info is for the front sensors

edit duh ure talking about the rear sensor correct?

you can disconnect the ABS and remove all the sensors without it affecting your brakes, i did this when i put my XJ dana44 in

Now would probably be a good time to upgrade the d35. If your axle shaft is pitted then you probably had some watter in there. and now some metal flake and chip too.

8.25 off a newer xj if you dont wheel much and want a stronger dirrect bolt in. Should be able to find one in your current gear ratio.

ford 8.8 if you like to wheel allot, or want to build more for the future, and you have some fab skills to relocate the shocks and spring purches. Comes in 4.10's not shure about other ratio's.

8.8s come in various ratios from 3.55's to 4.10's depense on the year and what was ordered when the vehicle was purchase

so nother words its not worth trying might as well put the hole other axle in and i guess i could just take out the bulb for the asb right

will taking the bulb out make the check engine light come on? i know in my colorado the check light comes on when a dashlight goes out

remove the buld in the fuses and i believe there is 1 relay that you have to take out as well, it's a pretty straight forward job

going to buy a non abs axle this weekend thought about just putting the axles in the abs housing so i didn't have to swap the whole thing will it work or not

I ran ABS and non ABS axles in my old ABS housing and didn't have any issues.

go and buy yourself an 8.25 i've seen them for like 75 bucks, dana 35's are complete garbage it's not worth the time and effort to put an axle in the35 those are good for scrap!
