Its just that, It seems to have a mind of its own. About half of the horizontal wires running through the glass work. It looks as if all the wires are intact. Is there a fix for this because its quite annoying. Other then replacing it with a new one.

There may be a small scratch or gap in the grids somewhere, look very closely, it could be hard to see. Just search "defroster grid repair", there are a couple of write-ups about it online. Auto parts stores usually have defroster repair kits. The repair kit goes on kind of like paint, just tape off the area near the damaged grid line, and fill in the gap.

The "wires" are really only conductive paint, easy and cheap fix.
