I know there's many threads on the rear defroster not working, but I haven't found the answer to my question yet. One of the metal tabs where the wire connects to the rear glass is broken off and missing. I'm trying to find out where I could buy that tab and how best to put it back on. All the tailgate wires are good. Rear wiper works, 3rd brake light works & the switch has power to it.

When you think about it is just a male spade connector. Need to find one that will fit in the female part. Probably have to trim it some. Now how you would go about securing it to the windshield is another story.

The auto parts stores should carry a glue that is made to reinstall that tab . I used it before it works but it looks ugly so after it dried I used a black marker to paint it black and it looks a lot better .
