Rear axle slip yoke boot clamps
Where can I get these things? The local auto parts stores don't have them (haven't tried NAPA yet), and I don't want to use hose clamps. They look like CV boot clamps, but there's just under 2" in diameter. I can post up a picture if it's helpful, but they have those barbs and crush joint just like the larger CV boots. I came up empty on Rock Auto as well.
The boot is fine, but I need to pull it off and grease the joint since it's clunking.

Yep, those are the ones. Perhaps I can reuse the old clamps. I just can't get my head around using zip ties there, though I'm a big fan of zip ties in general.

Wrap your head around THIS:
Suggested to clean out all the old grease on the SY. Apply a liberal coating of Permatex Anti Sieze to splines.
Slip boot back on and ziptie.
Grease dries out over time. Antisieze will keep that yoke slippin forever!
Can even get all fancy and use the Copper Permatex goop. I use that on my rifles.

The boot is more to keep the dust and grit out than to keep the grease in, so there isn't any real pressure there. You just need to keep it tight against the shafts so it doesn't slip.

Thanks guys. I'll give the zip ties a go this week, as I have some light wheeling to do over the weekend.
I guess I was picturing something more like CV grease that is much more difficult to keep contained (consistency and volume of grease) than what I'd use on the slip yoke.
