rear axle brake lines

a friend of mine broke the long hard brake line on the rear axle from the splitter block to the brake. I don't know if she has the Dana 35c or the 8.25 does it really matter or will the replacements fit either one. thanks 99 Cherokee limited no abs

Go to the parts store and buy 4 feet or whatever of brake line and then bend it to fit and you can rent the flaring tool so you can cut it and flare it if the line isn't the perfect length

If you're having trouble finding a rental flare tool this one works well: https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/SER161A. And buy a copper alloy tube, not steel or stainless, easier to bend and flare, and will not rust.

I love that tool. But I would not use it with steel line. Just the nicop line. But yeah just a piece as long, or a little longer, of premade line and you are good. Just give it a little extra bend here and there to take up any slack. Routing does not have to be exactly like it was from the factory. Close is good, not hanging low any where, and not rubbing anything. They do make the nicop stuff premade too. 3/16" by the way.
