reading differential tag correctly
OK, Front diff. has a tag(can't figure out how to post pics) 3 sets of numbers
first row 10 digits 8953000395 second row has 3.73 41.11 I see i have 3.73 gears in diff. but the other sets of numbers mean what?????:help: I appreciate any help on this. Thanks |
The only one i ever paid attention to is gearing. I dont think the rest matter.

10 digits is the part number of the diff.
3.73 is the axle ratio. 41.11 means the ring gear has 41 teeth and the pinion gear has 11 teeth. Divide 41 by 11 and you get 3.73. |
