Re-gearing Question
I'm currently looking to re-gear from 3.55 to 4.56. I've found the R&P for my rear 8.25 and it looks like it won't be a problem just to swap it in.
My front Dana 30 is another story. According to Quadratec (which to me, isn't a very reliable source) I will need this kit in order to swap from 3.55. to 4.56:

However, it says it is for a rear Dana 30. Will it work in the front?

Thanks.
I remember you were a big help regarding my Aussie locker thread, so I present you this: re-gearing my 8.25 to won't require me to order a different locker will it?

The reason you need the kit for your front D30 is that 1 type of carrier is used for 3.07-4.10 gears. Another carrier with a different offset is required for 4.56 and up.
Your 8.25 rear axle uses the same carrier for any gear ratio offered. Therefore, since you already have an Aussie locker in your rear carrier and you won't need to change it, you won't need a different locker when you re-gear.

I have a couple of friends that help me with things like this. We installed my rear Aussie in about threes hours.
Hopefully it will be just as quick for the front Aussie I convinced my girlfriend to order for my birthday!
If all goes well, I will be locked front and rear by this time next month!
