re gear
so I am thinking on getting 35'' tires on a lift anywhere from 6.5'' to 8.5''. How much will it cost me to re-gear? Where do I find the gears online? Also, can I just get a extended driveshaft or a SYE? OR will I need a SYE along with the new driveshaft?

You will need a SYE for any lift higher than 6 inches. You will need a TC drop kit for anything over 3 inches. The gear deal I went for was the one offered by 4WD Hardware. I got front and rear ring and pinions and master install kits for right around $500 delivered to my front door. Now, if you're going to have a shop install them for you, too. You're looking at another $600-$700. That is where I really saved some cash. I installed my gears myself. So, bottom line is yes it is expensive to re-gear and REALLY expensive to have the work done for you.
