RC LIFT HELP

extended brake lines, drop down pitman arm, probably gonna need an SYE, a performance steering stabilizer, think thats it, after that it's all feeling it out.

More than likely you will need a SYE. i put a 4.5" RC in my 96. i don't like reefing on wrenches (i have a hernia) so i used torches to cut out the bolts that wouldn't budge. plus you will need to re-drill for your track bar or get an adjustable one. (i re-drilled) you will have to take off your brake callipers and stand on your axle to get the coils in if you don't have a coil compressor. plus a full set of metric and standard wrenches. a breaker bar. pb blaster. and jack stands and jack. be patient and have fun!! i did the hack en tap SYE and it wasn't that hard. goodluck

Yeah, it's about $1500 total for 4.5 inches, give or take, you might find some good deals and get it down to 1000. Oh yeah, sorry forgot about the trackbar issue, need an adjustable track bar.

number one thing I'd NOT do is order RC products from anyone but RC!
go to roughcountry.com, get their phone number, call them, ask for jason, and tell him what you're looking for and ask what he'd advise. he won't jack you around, he will always take care of you, and I absolutely guarantee that the deal will be better than on some other website you're ordering from.
my number 1 rule of thumb is to never order lift kits from anyone but the manufacturer of the lift.

Yup, from everything I've seen of Jason participating in threads over on Naxja I gotta agree. That guy is top class, and I would assume the whole company is as well. Maybe their stuff is cheaper than most, and maybe because of that people think not everything works as well as somebody else's....but you can't question their customer service...and that goes a long way especially in our world today.

you wont need brake lines unless your really going to flex it out with discos. don't need a drop pitman till like 6", don't really need a performance steering stabalizer either. i have 6" longer breaklines that i haven't installed yet cause i don't have disco's. i did need a SYE. i have been driving mine like it is for about 6 months and the only thing that went wrong was the track bar loosened up.

Not to get off subject, but why only from RC itself? I got mine from JC Whitney, paid a little more cuz I didn't know RC had it's own site, but other than that, why?

if you got the money for the 4.5 i would go with it. if you get the 3.5 your going to be happy for about 5 months then your going to want to go bigger. i am already sick of mine and i want 2" more!! with tirty fives!!!!

yah i put the 1" tc drop and it still vibrated bad. i prob could have shimmed my axel to make it better but i decided to just do the hack n tap. my jeep is the white one under my name. its a 4.5 RC with full springs and 31"s on cragar v5's. and if you do decide to do the 4.5 and you run into problems with the rear leaf springs. just find a way to move your shackles forward!! the springs are not to short!! haha everyone says that there to short but there not!1 haha

and yes, their customer service is great. the only lift parts on my truck that aren't RC are the track bar (RE HD) and mount, and the shocks (have edelbrock extreme remote IAC's).
buying direct removes the middle man, which makes any warantee/upgrade deals much easier, and they're much more willing to help you because you're directly supporting them.
