RC Adjustable Trackbar Question
Hey guys. I just lifted my Jeep (4.5" RC Full Leafs) and now I'm installing the RC trackbar. I'm having a hell of a time on the axle end. How do I get a wrench back there to tighten that nut? And what is the jam nut for and where does it go? I'm obviously overlooking something and I'm getting frustrated. :brickwall: Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to get it back on the road (and off).

I hope you kept that nut that was attached to a tab with a little handle on it. That is the only way you can tighten the nut. Just get the bolt going into the nut and the little handle stops the nut from moving. As far as the jam nut goes, that nut goes where the rod end screws into the bar. You loosen that nut, then adjust your rod end in or out then tighten the nut back up so the rod end doesnt turn.

Mike- Thanks for the reply. So I'm not supposed to use the bolt and nut that came with the trackbar? I'm supposed to use the factory nut and bolt? Thanks.

i used the original hardware for that. my kits instructions said to reuse the old one. RE might be different but for that i doubt it

Yeah use the factory hardware with out that tab on that nut it will be almost impossible.

dont waste your time with the new nut, use the flag nut that is in your original hardware.

Yup, use the original nut welded to the tab. The guy who sold me my jeep used the aftermarket bolt and nut and the pos kept spinning and getting loose and making my tb pop. I had to go to the jy to grab a stock nut/tab. Now it's all better. Nice and tight.
