Hello, This is always random and has done it for years and wondering what it is. So my jeeps a 99 and randomly when i either turn it off or put it in accessory mode after a little bit like 20 seconds of sitting itll make this buzzing like sound and then go away. Im just curious in what it is

 

Are any of the accessories on when it happens? Does it sound metallic, or plastic in nature? Or electrical?

 

not to my knowledge when it does it nothing is on or the radio, windows and that are on thats it. and its hard to explain the noise its like a electrical and metallic noise mixed. I want to record it but its just so random i can never get it in time because it lasts for like a second, I mean its not a problem more like i wanna know what does this lol. It sounds more like its in the dash or drivers area and at times can feel it through the steering wheel or dashboard

 

Sounds like you might have a relay going bad. This is the sound they make when they are going bad or there is too much load on them for some reason. lol
