Block test
 

Napa sells a "do it yourself" block test kit to check for the presence of hydrocarbons in the coolant. If positive it could mean a blown head gasket.

Got it up and running. Replaced the water pump last night even tho thought it was fine and turned out it was the pump. No big deal cheap easy fix. Glad its runnin again.
