Default Radiator replacement went bad.. Assistance needed

I was taking the top brace off to start tacklin the radiator, and I couldnt get the passenger side bolt off that sits on a screw that I am guessing mounts in the radiator. Both the screw and bolt would spin rather than the bolt just coming off.. And also, I was trying to remove the hex bolts on the front mount where the latch connects... and the two inner ones WOULD NOT BUDGE. I think I may have stripped them a little bit trying. Any idea what to do?

If you can post some pics so we know exactly which bolts you are talking about. I know when I did mine there were a few things I thought needed to come off that didn't.

A thought just came to me... are those hex bolts or a torx bolt? I was just looking and was thinking that if I used a torx on my drill maybe it would come loose.

Also, anyone know what size wrench I need for the upper tranny cooling line? I need to go buy it because my tools only came with 2 wrenches for some reason.

you dont have to take the torx out just remove all the 10mm nuts from the header panel then take off the 10mm nuts holing the upper rad. support to the frame etc...also unbolt the fan and shrouds from the support take off hoses and once the metal piece on top is off the rad. should slide right out

When I get a bolt that just spins, I put a flat tip screw driver under it for some upward pressure and try backing it off then.

I did not try that. We tried holding the support upright but never putting leaverage under the bolt. But the screw part is actually part of the radiator. This is getting really frustrating

You don`t need to take those torx head bolt things out. Just undo the bigger normal nuts and bolts across the top and then the ones up under the lip of the grill and pull the two pieces out together. All those torx things do is hold the the piece going under the grill lip and the piece on top of the radiator together. If you pull them out both at once there`s no need to seperate them.

So if I just take both parts out I dont have to disconnect the hood latch either? And what are some other options for that stuck bolt?

Yes if you leave the 2 parts connected there`s no need to disconnect that hood latch thing with the 2 torxs either. Since you are replacing the radiator you may just have to sheer that little bolt head off. The old radiators junk anyway.
